  1. Community Cohorts

Introduction

Cohorts are "mastermind groups" for artists taking part in #WorldArtDay2021 on Hic et Nunc.

What are WAD Cohorts?

WAD Cohorts are small collectives of like-minded artists with similar levels of experience and artistic styles that come together with shared values to help each other achieve their goals.

In the fast-changing world of NFTs, a collective cohort can be a helpful resource for sharing ideas and knowledge, promoting each others work, and keeping everyone accountable. Cohorts enable the group to work together to help each member identify solutions to any specific issue, while providing an intimate community environment that is often hard to find in larger Discord groups and channels.

The most successful cohorts are more than just a group of people. They are an artist's safe haven for navigating this new and exciting NFT world together.

Who is in your Cohort?

We've found that the best size for a Cohort is between 6-12 people. This enables members to grow deep relationships with one another in a safe space that invites participation from all artists.

After sending your OBJKT to the WAD Gallery, a WAD member will reach out and invite you to a Cohort that we think would be a great fit for your experience, style, and location. We're working to find a fit for everyone, so if you feel that it's not something you are looking for at this time, you can always opt-out or request a new cohort.

We think about connecting artists to each other based on these three themes:

  1. Experience Level

  2. Artistic Style

  3. Location & Time Zone

How often do you meet?

Cohorts are private channels in the WAD Discord. We also recommend scheduling weekly calls with the collective to see friendly faces and dive deeper into topics of interest.
